Phil Vale
Phil Vale, an instructor with ESI International, has 30 years of IT experience in the telecommunication, manufacturing, oil and gas, national health, banking, and financial industries, as well as the public sector. His clients have included Ericsson, Hewlett Packard, Unisys, Phillip Morris, Cisco, Belmin Group, Landmark Graphics, Capital One, American Express, and Philip Morris Intl.
For the past 10 years, Mr. Vale has worked in project management (PM) and PM training roles. He believes that most projects fail because they are not built on firm foundations, and therefore, specializes in ensuring project management basics are carried out both effectively and appropriately for the size and nature of the project concerned. His areas of expertise include scheduling and cost control, project
leadership, risk management, and systems integration project management.
Mr. Vale acts as a coach and mentor on self-driven programs and keeps his own skills sharp and up-to-date by delivering a variety of projects typically in the pubic sector. He holds a practitioner certification in Prince2 and an APMP certification from the Association of Project Management and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®).
